Hyundai plans production of hydrogen-powered sports car

In the Korean media, we can read that Hyundai plans to start manufacturing a super sports car with an electric motor powered by both a battery and a hydrogen-powered fuel cell from mid-2026.

Hyundai, which launched the hydrogen-powered fuel cell car Nexo back in 2018, believes in a hydrogen-powered future even though these vehicles are not a common sight on our roads today.

Hyundai presented the N Vision 74 concept car a couple of years ago, and now it is reported in the Korean media that Hyundai intends to make the technology a reality in the form of a super sports car in the style of the N Vision 74.

No official statement has been made, but a subcontractor to Hyundai is said to have said that they have received information that production will begin in June 2026. It is about one hundred cars annually for two years.
