Expansion of infrastructure for hydrogen requires clear regulations
An expanded infrastructure for hydrogen would create flexibility for the electricity system, strengthen energy readiness and, above all, make it possible for more businesses to gain access to a growing hydrogen market and improved opportunities for conversion.
The Energy Agency has now submitted its report “Hydrogen and hydrogen infrastructure in the Swedish energy system” to the government, which constitutes a partial report within the task of coordinating the work with hydrogen in Sweden.
Vätgas Sweden’s members have contributed several inputs to the report and we look forward to the next step!
– In order for Swedish companies and actors to want to plan and implement investments, a clear regulatory framework is needed. The framework for the regulations should be based on the gas market package, which is expected to enter into force in the spring of 2024, says Robert Andrén, director general at the Energy Agency.
