Volvo Trucks will manufacture trucks powered by hydrogen gas
AB Volvo is now investing in a new form of engines to reach its climate goals. In addition to manufacturing battery trucks and electric vehicles powered by fuel cells, they are also investing in trucks with internal combustion engines powered by fossil-free hydrogen. This is a billion dollar investment where you also form a new company. A challenge with the venture is that it requires an expansion of hydrogen gas stations.
– The conditions vary greatly in different parts of the world, says Jan Hjelmgren, global product manager at Volvo Trucks.
