V\u00e4te Rail planerar att k\u00f6pa 20 nya v\u00e4tgaslok fr\u00e5n den polska tillverkaren Pesa f\u00f6r att modernisera sin lokflotta och n\u00e5 m\u00e5let om koldioxidneutralitet till 2030. De f\u00f6rsta loken levereras inom tv\u00e5 \u00e5r och hela flottan ska vara i drift senast 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00f6r att underl\u00e4tta \u00f6verg\u00e5ngen samarbetar f\u00f6retaget med en kund som producerar egen v\u00e4tgas. V\u00e4tgasloken kommer att hyras via Hankavik AB, ett nystartat bolag som hanterar uthyrningen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De nya loken drivs av br\u00e4nsleceller som omvandlar v\u00e4tgas till elektricitet och sl\u00e4pper endast ut vatten, vilket g\u00f6r dem till ett milj\u00f6v\u00e4nligt alternativ. Detta steg \u00e4r en del av transportsektorns str\u00e4van efter fossilfrihet och f\u00f6rnybar energi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Med denna investering st\u00e4rker V\u00e4te Rail<\/a> sin roll i den gr\u00f6na omst\u00e4llningen inom j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gstransporter och bidrar till Sveriges nationella klimatm\u00e5l. Initiativet visar j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gens potential i att minska utsl\u00e4ppen och erbjuda h\u00e5llbara transportl\u00f6sningar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
